In November our Year 10 ‘Young Apprentice’ team winners visited London’s Air Ambulance facility on the roof of the Royal London Hospital Whitechapel. They were there, along with Head of Year 10, Miss Ubaka, to present a cheque for £2,000, raised during last year’s Enrichment Fortnight. Year 9 – as they were back then – raised a whopping £4,000 in one day for the ELSS Young Apprentice Challenge. As in previous years, the total raised is divided equally between our two favourite charities – London’s Air Ambulance and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

Members of the winning team, those that raised the most money, were given a fully guided VIP tour of London’s Air Ambulance facility, including the helicopter and helipad.

ELSS Principal Mr Perks said “I’m Very proud of our pupils! They worked really hard to raise the money we donated. And the rest of the year group who contributed to this donation.”

We are very grateful to staff at London’s Air Ambulance for their time and their generosity and we look forward to continuing our work with you.
