To stand on the shoulders of giants

Just Teach! It sounds simple, but not everyone can do it. East London Science School is an intellectually ambitious and oversubscribed school which is seeking an exceptional Chemistry Teacher to cover maternity leave until July 2021 and help build our pupils’ growing subject knowledge and desire to know more.

Chemistry is central to the success of the school and we are looking for a talented individual who has a belief in the ability of all students to succeed. You will need to match your love of Chemistry with discipline and flexibility and have the same, if not higher, expectations of your pupils. Your hard work will set the standards for that of the pupils. As such, we are looking for a teacher who can demand the highest standards of academic focus and scholarly behaviour up to A-Level and beyond.

This post is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and successful teacher with ample opportunity to develop your career as the school grows.

ELSS offers an excellent programme of relevant professional support for all our staff, based on the school’s educational principals and the professional experience of our staff.
